We focus a lot of our energy on instilling the love of reading into our children. Students are paired together utilizing one young and one older student to work together on our reading skills. Children are also encouraged regularly within their classrooms to read silently to themselves or with friends.

Every February, we celebrate "I Love to Read" month. This year we chose to use a "One School, One Book" program. The entire school read the same book at the same pace and did a number of activities before, during and after in relation to the themes of the book...making the world a better place.

We also have reading challenges, special presentations and activities all month long and end with celebrating our reading successes!
